I can't really say if the things she mentions are particularly Scandinavian or just how times have changed since her own childhood in UK.

Surely, UK children today are also taught more self dependency and such?

On the other hand, anger and hatred make you feel strong. You know you are right and can shrug off anything.

This is what people mean when they say they hate The Guardian.

Their politics are alright, but their needless upper-class posturing on nonce topics really makes them hard to love.

I have to ask: did you read the article? It is clearly a call for the flattening of classes and more rights for all.

Nope, I just skimmed the headline and saw the picture of a very pleased looking white person touching grass like its their own invention.

Happy to hear that the article actually has bones.

Like I said, I agree with the politics of The Guardian, but I just hate the insufferable way they present it.
It screams of yuppies trying to shame their yuppie peers.

As a dane, it all looks relatively average to me. Perhaps slightly upper class~ish -- but definetely not yuppie or shaming. I think you might benefit from the tips in the article if that were your gut reaction :)
