General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Gosh, who hasn't made disparaging comments about Trump online. No way of book a flight to the USA if I might be stopped at the border.

It's getting pretty crazy, pretty quickly, as expected.

I can see US tourism going way down, it sounds like a lot of hassle

Nit a gambler. Bit im seriosly wondering what odds I can get on Trump refusing to step down.

To much of this is looking like the early moves of a dictator.

He has already indicated an unconstitutional 3rd term.

The article assumes we know who they are. Who are they?

Maybe it's just me but UK Subs are a reasonably big band in the UK. Always on the festival circuit and been around forever.

Anything off of their Another Kind of Blues album is a classic.

Oh yes totally. I think that's the way I was introduced to them.

I was always rock/metal/grunge/alternative/thrash and so on in interests, so punk was not a bit of me, only the big names with tracks in the charts I ever noticed, so I missed these guys completely.
