2025 Chinese Grand Prix Sprint report and highlights: Hamilton storms to Sprint victory and first Ferrari win in China ahead of Piastri and Verstappen

I fixed the headline. Piastri finished ahead of Verstappen. (I'm a Verstappen fan btw)

Dang. Results get posted in titles immediately then? I rarely follow sports in depth but decided I'm going in on F1 for real this season. I'll have to remember to hide my phone after overnight events until I can watch the replay for myself. ๐Ÿ˜…

ETA to be clear I'm not complaining. Just an observation/reminder to myself that I shouldn't be checking the thing where I'm subbed to an F1 community until I'm ready to see results.

Rule nr 1 if you want to follow F1 and still maintain a sleep schedule is absolute isolation from the internet until you've watched the qualy/race replay. Everything from social media to suggested news articles to YouTube frontpage will spoil you. Hell, even F1TV will do its best to ruin it for you. Don't expose yourself to any potential spoiler vector before watching the replay on the Multiviewer app.

It's the price we pay for not having the will to stay up all night or wake up at ungodly hours.

People spoiling races is what made me stop going to the F1 subreddit.

Do I need to block this instance?

Itโ€™s ok, F1TV spoils it when you go to watch the session anyway.

I love f1, but man does Liberty fuck shit up

@TK420 @TammyTobacco

To avoid spoiler from f1tv website, and sleep 3 hours more, I kept Multiviewer for F1 on the pc opened during the night.
This morning, I opened the watch replay button

[โ€“] TK420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

They should, just like, you know, NOT SPOIL IT.

Iโ€™m on the go a lot and canโ€™t really do that.

[โ€“] TammyTobacco@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Good thing I cancelled my F1TV subscription then

[โ€“] TK420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

I donโ€™t want to go sailing every time I want to watch a session. This is my only option.

[โ€“] luca@sironi.tk 2 points 6 hours ago

@TammyTobacco @villainy

Yeah, please, everybody.
I watched the sprint race just one hour before qualifications.
Good that I remembered not to watch fediverse first๐Ÿ™‚

I checked before I posted and the community rules say spoilers are allowed.

Edit: Rule 3. If you know a way of masking post titles let me know.

[โ€“] villainy@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago

You are correct. Spoilers are explicitly allowed so if I care then it's a thing to be dealt with on my end. All good!

[โ€“] 1luv8008135@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

It does indeed :-)

[โ€“] amldvk@lemm.ee 11 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Ferrari has always been at least decent, unless strategy is involved.

[โ€“] 1luv8008135@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

A bit like Merc these days.

Confidence booster for both Lewis and Liam, not so much for Lando. Good mixup in the midfield, will be good to see how things shakeout when there are pit stops involved.
