You'd better use the black one for your status tray, start menu, and clock font if it will be used by elderly people. Black is easier to see for them than gray

Is the furry in the background also for old people?

If all you did is increase font size and DPI. Then I feel personally attacked. I've been daily driving Linux for last 10+ years. My full time job needs me working on Linux systems.

Earlier I used use font size of 8 to fit more text but now I'm getting blind and increased font size to 14 or in some cases even 16. Ohh my god I'm getting old.........

nooo it's fine, you're not getting old, i myself am young and use glasses and that's also why i changed the dpi.

it's just accessibility!!

Oh you would love MeeGo then. Too bad it doesn't exist anymore.

I think Gnome is quite simple for old folks. Just make the dock with pinned apps (or panel or whatever it is called) always visible, and that's a solid experience.

Is that possible without an addon/extension nowadays? I used Gnome and DashToDock / Plank etc for years but got fet up with stuff breaking with system updates.

Honestly, I don't remember. I set up the tv for my parents (fedora + gnome + rustdesk) a long while ago and it has been running with no issues
