fear my 1.5 cold run stage 3 burnout:
no miss on the first stage, tho!
i think if i do some more runs, i might just go for the 1.5 score attack mode for simplicity.
1.5 score attack basic mode went marginally better. at least i made it to the stage 3 boss. that's enough for me tonight.
I haven't messed around with 1.5 much, but you inspired me to give it a try... wow, I need more practice!
tried it again tonight but i am absolutely exhausted. got about a quarter through the third stage and just died. lost all my ships in the second stage doing stupid stuff like not paying attention to my exits and not trying to corral the bugs.
EDIT: i think i like 1.5 a lot more than the original. just feels a little better to me, perhaps it's the color changes? i'm unsure if the music changed as well. the score attack mode is a great addition, too.
Small bit of strategy section on a wiki page I found for this game! Wiki is for shmups in general though, not just Mushihimesama.
shmups.wiki is pretty awesome, especially when you're trying to optimise scoring
Mostly went for Novice so far, but I also gave 1.5 a try - Stage 4 striked.
Top honors, well done!
And that's it for April's game of the month, Mushihimesama!
Gold medal for 1.5 goes to ErableEreinte, with a score of 7,909,724!
Silver medal for 1.5 goes to hobbssc, with a score of 6,360,123!
Thanks to all the participants and lurkers for hanging out and playing along, and we hope to see you again for May's GOM!
