I don't have any, I don't want any. But I work with them as part of my job, sometimes all the way down to babies, and damn if I don't love 'em all the same.

I guess it's just nice to have the best of both worlds: the freedom of childfree life and the benefit of being able to play with them, because they are genuinely adorable and fun.

(I realize people probably don't care; I'm mostly posting to post in the name of generating more fediverse content)

I'm happy to be an auntie... I'll never "grow up", so I'm happily going to be the one that will play video games, watch scary movies, put together Lego sets... but the oldest is only 4, so I'm impatiently waiting.

I love being the fun uncle who parachutes in to play hide and seek and then run away when they’re sleepy and grumpy.

My so is a teacher and they have some rough days, but I swear they love those kids more than me. Sometimes they get reccognized in public and it's like they're a minor celebrity.

I am not a fan of being around kids, but I love hearing about when child free people do! Humanity has always relied on adults caring for kids who are not their own. Looking at remaining hunter-gatherer societies, generally, everyone is every child's parent. Kids grow up healthier this way.

Go you!!
