Does the first game finally run well on the Deck? Or is this as verified as Spider-Man 2?

What do you mean by finally? I played the last of us 1 probably a good year ago or so and it ran flawlessly on my deck. I'm pretty sure I even kept it docked and played on a nice big screen with no issues

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. When it was released it was unplayable.

Verified or not, I hope it doesn't require a year's salary of hardware and a nuclear power plant to run, like the first PC port did.

A part of the "Verified" or "Playable" badges is the performance of a game on a Steam Deck. If it can't run well at all, it will get an "Unsupported" badge, ex. the remake of Silent Hill 2.

That misses the point. The Last of Us Part I is Steam Deck verified, but it consumes far too many resources.

Do note that I'm not just talking about the Deck. Some hardware can run it smoothly, some can't, but in all cases, it's an insultingly bloated pig of a port.

Everyone commenting on the performance, so I'll comment on the game: fucking incredible. Better than the first imo. If you haven't played it yet, you really should.

Valve has made the verification system completely meaningless at this point.
