Golf is a game rich men play when they are bored playing games with our lives.

Turn every golf course into income based housing.

Dig up every cemetery and turn them into housing.

Quit wasting earth on rich people.

There’s way more of us than them. wtf are we doing

I don't play golf but I know people that do and I can assure you none of them are even remotely rich (although most are white men)

The problems we have with housing shortages and climate change won't be solved even if you get rid of every golf course in America.

Living in a city without enough housing and seeing golf courses that are unused most of the hours of the day taking up huge swaths of land in the middle of my city feels like a “fuck you” to the poors.

Golf space should be used for forests. Cities need green spaces.

Multifamily housing should be built in existing housing areas

Then what's your issue with cemeteries? Last I checked you didn't need to be Bill Gates to be in one

Is it possible that is just conservative shitposting? Even our most of our extreme lefties understand irony and have a bit of self-awareness making inside jokes similar to this. We've also seen conservatives "eat the onion" enough on joke memes. We should consider that we may be on the other end the joke on this one not thinking they're serious with this meme.

A lot of people are really, really fucking naive how stupid the bulk of the population is. And how there is always a segment even less cognitive.

And I get it, you don't want to believe how bad it is. The brain protects you from cognitive hazards. When I realized it well into adulthood I wept, I despaired because I finally understood just how bad it really is. I can't describe it, you have to go on this journey yourself, and I feel bad for you if you find it, because it's one of the blackest pills to swallow.

So this is pro-communist propaganda? I’m here for it. No more retro brutalist Soviet style posters, We’ve moved into the era of mid-2000s photoshop.

More room for low cost housing

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago

Well, I've never seen such a positive point about communism.

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Only if we put commie blocks on all the golf courses.

[–] ConstantPain@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

That's a sacrifice I'm willing to make!

[–] 21Cabbage@lemmynsfw.com 4 points 1 week ago

I mean sort of, proper land reform would destroy a ton of golf courses, probably even most of them but I'm sure there's plenty that, saving for the excessive water use, are otherwise ok. Besides, I think we're past having to take up half the real estate of scenic western Nebraska for a game that while I myself enjoy can probably also be enjoyed in more compact ways without major sacrifices.
