It's one of the largest and one of the easiest to join. I'm certainly not going to suggest Pawb for 90% of people unless I know they are a furry, and I would never recommend .ml. SJW would be second, and I might suggest db0 if it doesn't make you fill out an essay to join (I haven't made an account there).
First post on Lemmy! and oh my word… never seen such an eclectic mix of flavours of people, positions and politics in a long time.
