It's amazing how goofy it looks at every stage until the last one and then boom elegant as fuck.

If you find an injured owl:
Note your exact location so the owl can be released back where it came from. Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist to get correct advice and immediate assistance.
Minimize stress for the owl. If you can catch it, toss a towel or sweater over it and get it in a cardboard box or pet carrier. It should have room to be comfortable but not so much it can panic and injure itself. If you can’t catch it, keep people and animals away until help can come.
Do not give food or water! If you feed them the wrong thing or give them water improperly, you can accidentally kill them. It can also cause problems if they require anesthesia once help arrives, complicating procedures and costing valuable time.
If it is a baby owl, and it looks safe and uninjured, leave it be. Time on the ground is part of their growing up. They can fly to some extent and climb trees. If animals or people are nearby, put it up on a branch so it’s safe. If it’s injured, follow the above advice.

I kinda like day 43. The part is the "hair" is very sharp in a turn of the last century way and it matches the expression of the face well.
He looks like a powered wig with feet
It wants to be a barrister when it grows up.
Its final form.
Day 46 - ball of fluff, but the face feathers are round perfection.
Peak belly bulge.
Wow. This gives a lot of perspective to the pictures of young ones. Wow. Two months.
Not much of a childhood I guess you could say!
I found some weight numbers in this report for GHOs and you can see how rapidly the mass builds up.
They will start wandering to and from the ground and nest at the end of the 2 months until eventually they have all the flying and hunting stuff down well enough on their own and by months 4-5 they will be about indistinguishable from their parents.
day 43 be me when my hair frizzes up 😭
I wish I was still a 43! I'm creeping up on the 46. 🤪
this almost looks like you could see it grow in real time if you look closely enough.
It really does!
It feels like if you hear a friend had a baby, but if you don't go visit them in the first 2 months they'd already be off to college! 😦
Imagine the growing pains
Even just growing all those feathers at once has to take up a ton of energy!
Dinosaur, dinosaur, dinosaur, dinosaur, dinosaur, . . uh . . . flat-faced chicken . . uhmmmmm . . . . wow, perfection!
Flat-faced tap dancing chicken!
Hah-Chaaah! *jazz wings*
Really gives perspective on the time between the two Ori games.
Those look good! Where are all the Playstation owl games? I've been missing out on all these things.
