Reddit has become practically unusable. Mods censor EVERYTHING even if it doesn't "break the rules" it's worthless trying to have honest discussions.
Not even censoring, also outright stealing for karma farming. I've had perfectly normal photos being criticized as not within the rules for bullshit reasons. An alcoholic drink aggressively marketed in two "variations" for men in women in pointlessly gendered was taken down with the bullshit excuse, that men and women have different metabolisms so it wasn't pointless. A week later there was a post about this drink with a lot of upvotes and my exact photo from our local supermarket. It was posted by one of the very active accounts. Mods are taking down promising content in some subs just to post it themselves.
I once said on /r/nintendo in the context of Nintendo increasing the price of games that even if you enjoy their products, there’s no excuse to defend their anti consumer practices and that there was way too much “corporate boot licking” among Nintendo fans. It wasn’t a statement directed at anyone specifically, but I got a temporary ban for “derogatory name calling.”
Like…I fully understand it’s going to be a sub of Nintendo fans, and I also consider myself a fan of a lot of their games, but if you aren’t allowed to be critical…then banning me for that post kinda proved my point, lol.

Luigi is a bright, shinning example of what happens when the powers that be stop listening to the complaints and needs of the peasantry.
You'd think they'd have learned that the last several dozen times lords got too high and mighty and triggered a violent revolt/uprising.. but alas..

I got an instant permanent auto ban for joking about pushing someone down the stairs. It was 'supporting violence'. I appealed and it was auto rejected. It's become absurd.

Smh I've heard about a ton of stupid reddit bans but this one takes the cake. I guess if you keep reporting it they'd have to actually do something about it so they prefer to ban you and pretend it doesn't exist.
I dropped Reddit when it was announced that you could be banned for upvoting something.
I just continued using posting the same things I did before until I got banned, trying to figure out how to evade the ban for the sake of it.
