A place for optimism, relentless positivity, anti-doomerism, and snuggle sessions.

We're all in this together, and a better world is possible!

This is now also a space for organizing tips for our collective survival as we confront climate change and everything else. Still no doom-posting. We're here to work together, support each other, and boldly face the future.

Rules:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the site-wide Code of Conduct

  2. No doom, no gloom, only bloom. There's plenty of room for doomerism elsewhere. This community is solely for having a positive outlook on the future and spreading good vibes.

  3. Be kind to your fellow users. This also means no arguing in the comm. Arguments and negativity are not conducive to blooming. Constructive discussion is good. No interest-policing. Support your comrades in their joy!

  4. Always share good news. We can't exactly enforce this one, but if you have good news, please share it with us! Keeping happiness and positivity to yourself is the twelfth type of liberalism.

Here's hoping for the North American Inland sea to return.

trump-who-must-go Folks, let me tell you, the North American continent - tremendous continent, by the way, maybe even the best - has got a problem. A big problem! Cratonic thinning. I just heard of it. Huge. The cratons, not quite like croutons but close enough, these big, beautiful, stable chunks of rock, the foundation of our great continental salad - they’re getting thin. Thin like the policies of the last administration, folks. Believe me. We’re talking about Diet Coke thin, okay? And nobody’s talking about it! But I’m talking about it. Because I know plates and I know stability. And we’re going to stabilize it like never before. The radical earth scientists say, “Oh, it’s natural, it’s slow. It will happen over millions of years.” Wrong! We can’t let Mother Nature push us around.

I was hoping for the UK to sink into the ocean but this is also an acceptable outcome

It is easier to imagine the end of the North American tectonic plate than the end of capitalism.
