dennis the dragon
Dinraal and Naydra are reminiscent of Din and Nayru which are recurring names of magical beings in the series at least. I don’t know where they got Farosh, and you’d definitely think someone would have given the light dragon a name between when it was first seen and the events of TOTK, just to have something to call it
Farore is the third Golden Goddess alongside Din and Nayru (from OOT's creation myth and elsewhere in the series).
Right, not sure how I forgot her
For the Light Dragon to follow the "named after a goddess" pattern, she would need to be named after Hylia ... which would also be fitting, considering who she actually IS. But that would probably have been too much of a spoiler, I guess?
Still, something like Hyliana, Lhyana or maybe Hylin would have been nicer than just "Light Dragon". It's weird that that this dragon was allegedly floating around the sky over Hyrule for a whole century, yet noone ever gave her a name.
...alternatively, she could have been named after Ordona who, along with "Faron", "Eldin", and "Lanayru" was the Light Spirit Guardian of the Ordon Province in Twilight Princess. Not exactly the same as a goddess, but part of a quintet of equally mighty spiritual beings of which 3 are named after the Golden Goddesses already.
