A lot of Sony's games (God of War, Spiderman, Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn) run pretty decent but will max out the power usage. Expedition 33 has been my recent favorite game, and it definitely brings my OLED down to it's min battery life of about 2.5 hours.
Monster hunter world goes through my battery very quickly but runs perfect
I didn’t give it a good chance before because it was getting multiple 99gb updates. It was pretty fun though and it would be well past that stage now.
The game is only 50gb, you probably have the High Quality Texture Pack DLC installed. You can disable it and to save a ton of space.
I don't think MHW has gotten a single update in years so you are good.
It's a fantastic game overall.
I can get a solid 2-3 hours on Baldur’s Gate 3 (with a bunch of mods) before I have to worry about plugging it back in. All the other games I play right now are the other ones that you’ve mentioned are older games that really don’t drain the battery at all. I’ve used mine pretty consistently since November December of last year, and I haven’t really noticed a drop in performance of battery life.
I really wanna try some of the newer games that look great like that Clair Obscur 33 game to see how it compares.
I'd love to know what settings you use to get 3 hours. I'm lucky if I can get an hour and 35 minutes.
Clair Obscur runs great with a few tweaks but burns through battery like it was running water unfortunately
Where do you come from that running water is burning?
I mean half the games in my library will max out the power draw at ~21w
Yakuza 4 (maybe 3?) for some fucking reason. Yakuza 6 is better on the battery.
Some of the Yakuza games seem to benefit a lot from a TDP limit. Seems like you can restrict the power usage quite a bit without any decrease in performance.
Sounds good. I got that series a few years ago and have never played it yet.
Just about anything from 6th gen consoles or earlier.
