I don't think this will go anywhere. Pretty sure they were just complying with US Government demands, and I don't think the name changed in Mexico. It was stupid, but I don't think Google had a choice. I could be wrong though.

Not complying with US government demands tbh. Though I have no doubt that Trump would have thrown a hissy fit if they didn't, Google has always named things in accordance with government policy.
It also doesn't matter. Compliance or not, Google can put what they want on their maps. Has "Japan" sued anyone for not using Nippon on maps.
I don't like Trump renaming shit for his ego, but the case won't go anywhere.
