but you see, the usa is (slightly) bigger and that's why [literally anything] cannot be done

😔

China is actually slightly bigger than America as far as land area. America is only bigger (and even then only slightly) if you include claimed bodies of water.

What a backwards society the US is; hopefully they can learn from the more advanced socialist countries.

Quarter the population, quarter the highways 😎 that's American efficiency I tell you what

True less people you need less infra simple as

I don't know if you can glean much from this without looking into exactly how Google Maps displays specific types of roads in each country. If you drew a map of every road in both countries they might look more similar.

I work in GIS and based on some exploration, it seems that zoom level shows only roads tagged as freeways.

So in this case it literally is just a straight up win over US infrastructure.

are "highways" considered freeways by Google Maps?

More of a meme than a fair comparison, google can be weird when it comes to the way it displays roads. For instance, SK is shown with nothing.

Juche gang stays winning

Hey don't put the US down like that, they have about similar infrastructure as sparsely populated Qinghai...

Doesnt china have something like 5 times the population of the us 350 some odd million to something like 1.5 billion? Its roughly the same landmass. 3.5 million ish square miles. Makes sense to me.

Not saying anything pro or against either place. Just seems like it makes sense

It would make sense if the more densely populated areas of U.S.A. had good infrastructure but even those mostly don't.

Cant really argue with that
