If these are the folk we are promoting as geniuses it's no wonder the world is in the state it's in.

Two other points

  1. Genghis conquered more of the world than Alexander (9 million sq ft vs 2 million sq ft).

It is said that Alexander "conquered the world" because Greeks at the time were not aware of the world beyond Europe and the Middle East (or did not consider the others 'civilized')

Alexanders army mutinied on him once they made it to India.

  1. Genghis at least took present day China, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. That's as close as one ancient conquerer has come to "taking over the world".
