How does israel keep getting through?

Choose either option:

  • A lot of people vote for the song, since they like it or for them pressing onto the lacrimal glands has worked.
  • Bots
  • Israel has to qualify as Moroccanoil is prominently sponsoring the ESC.

  • Pro-Israel people all vote for Israel (including ones that normally wouldn't vote), while the other votes are spread out

And now the finals voting will be annoying again. It will see a big portion of pro-israel / anti-israel voting.

While nemo was cool last year it seemed like people, especially the jury, voted for "Swiss neutrality" instead of actual contestants. I know the voting is often for a country rather than the entry (like neighbours voting for neighbours), but last year I felt like contestants didn't really enjoy a voting for entries much.

I'm really pissed that Israel is part of eurovision. Them actively conducting a genocide and on top of it all using eurovision as a tool for propaganda is disgusting.

I'm horrified at what the current israeli contestant had to go through during the terrorist attack on the festival and don't want to downplay her experience and I'm sorry for her, but she is being used as a tool to make a country that is doing crimes against humanity look better.

Exactly.

Similar to Ukraine, they have a lot of pockets of supporters outside the actual country. Plus likely a few bots just for good measure.

Would have loved to see Australia, Ireland and Czechia in the final

What the heck, over.

They let half of my least favorites through.

Is it me, or Latvia's song doesn't sound like "nevar" ?

[–] Justas@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago

It totally sounds like nevar, because it is

"Nevar manis izpostīt" - "can't destroy me" is a phrase they repeat several times.
