Police stopped responding to a lot of stuff in democratic/swing states and the public perception of dems got trashed imo.
This is one of the reasons AOC would be a poor Democratic presidential candidate.
AOC represents her district, she doesn't govern it. She governs at the federal level.

She wanted to defund the police. Why didn't she want to talk to the lady at the town hall when she was asked about crime in her district? Why doesn't she ask Trump for help?
