I have scrapped over a dozen different ships, of various types (getting read to go hunt some solar ships, and exotics), and classes (C, B, and A) and I still have not received a single Superconducting Fibre to upgrade my settlements.

try looking in markets in systems with high-wealth Advanced Materials Economy

Thank you. I found an Affluent Alchemical system I had visited and they had 83 superconducting fibres I was able to bit. I am sure it is overkill, but I am ready!

I thought they only came from salvaging space ships.

Superconducting Fibre can be purchased from Galactic Trade Terminals in all high-wealth Advanced Materials Economy star systems.

Looks like NMS assistant is wrong.
