I really can't grasp how people are living without deactivating all those push notifications or even without an adblocker. That must be an absolute nightmare
People also live with watching 15min ads on TV
I disable 99% of alerts. SMS, a work-related app, and a couple other apps are the only ones that are allowed to alert. I don’t get why people don’t aggressively filter alerts and notifications. It’s like that line said by Syndrome, the antagonist character from The Incredibles, “When everyone is super, no one will be.” When everything gets a notification, none of them are important.
Finde auch wild, wie weit entfernt von der Realität das ist. Wenn man nicht irgendwie Aktien handelt oder als Politiker*in zu den neuesten Themen unqualifizierte Meinungen herausblasen muss, dann reicht es doch bei weitem, wenn man einmal am Tag Nachrichten liest. Schon klar, dass die Unternehmen so spammen, weil sie hoffen, dass du es bei ihnen zuerst liest (weil du es dann nicht noch ein zweites Mal lesen wirst), aber eben trotzdem ziemlich verrückt.
Ich habe nur die SZ für Breaking News. Die sind ganz okay mit ihrer Priorisierung. Aber auch die ohne Vibration.
Glad to see some awareness. Personally I disable all notifications for everything but a single messenger. The rest can go pound sand. I'll decide when I want to read the news or my emails.
