Some of the tomatoes are doing....this. the leaves are withered like and crunchy. Not all of the plants, a number are doing just fine. The leaves in the photo are wet because it just rained although it has been extremely hot the last few days here in NJ. What silly thing am I doing wrong? Thanks!
Aphids and other sucking insects can cause leaves to roll. Look for them on the underside of the leaves.
Fo there are no bugs or signs of damage it's probably physiological leaf roll.

It might just be that they dried up in the hot weather. If so they'll uncurl now it's rained.
You might also want to check for ants breeding black fly on the underside. They suck the moisture from the leaves causing them to curl over. You can usually just scrape them off with a wet finger.

Can you provide images with better quality and some more details, e.g. the whole plant, undersides, bottom leaves, top leaves, etc.?
With that pic alone it's hard to diagnose any problems you have.

The are still green leaves, although crunchy like particularly nice fall leaves but they don't just disintegrate when touched. They curled under, towards the ground and not up towards the sky. Usually it is the leaves at the very top of the plant, but not always, sometimes it's also leaves lower down. Despite it, they are still producing flowers and growing albeit slower than their non crunchy buddies.
I've seen no aphids but I've seen several ladybugs in all stages so if there are aphids, they get eaten pretty quick.
I water once a day of when I go out around 6am the earth is dry. I use tap water that is both faucets set to on and feels lukewarm to me. I've given them tomato food about a month or so ago, the package says every 3 months so no more yet.
