Seems simple decision if TSMC ahead on 18a (sine 2022), and no real prospects of taking their customers. AFAIU, both have similar timelines for 14a availability?
That's fair, but they were hyping 18A pretty bad. And we've already had several new nodes being hyped and then forgotten.
yet another intel failure. would they have had chips planned that would only make sense for 18a for socket compatibility or other reasons? will they make them with tsmc?
Oh man, so now they are focusing on 14A.
