Clear and sunny with lots of wind = good drying weather. I am loving having some decent outdoor drying space in this place, everything smells better having been outdoors and the wind helps get rid of some of the excess pet hair and dust that's always around. I've already managed to do a load of clothes and a load of towels, I now have sheets on the line and another small load of clothes in the washing machine.

After that beef ravioli, Iโ€™m still alive and well !

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

That is good to hear.

If you were not alive and still posting here that would actually be a bit alarming. I'm really not ready for a zombie apocalypse.

Third night of getting less than 8 hours of sleep. Only got five hours of sleep and I have to go to work ๐Ÿ˜ญ probably because I drank coffee at like 2pm yesterday and used a giant PC.

Goregous, perfect day out there side from the occasional bouts of insane wind (amplified in the CBD wind tunnels). Had a perfect sleep in, no headache this time, and spent the day with a friend - treated to a lovely vegan restaurant for lunch and a nice long walk after then hojicha latte and a decadent slice of cake - came back to a tidy home that got properly aired out and gosh. What a difference the sun and a bit of warmth makes! My mood is fabulous, my nerves are calm, my body is happy and relaxed and life feels great. And the place is lovely and refreshed and I don't feel like I'm behind on life or anything. ๐Ÿ’œ

I didn't look at my phone all day and was enjoying watching other people on the tram - kids asking innocent questions, young people eagerly discussing their lives, blokes going on about the footy - rather than feeling annoyed and wanting to hide from the world. I even received a lovely compliment on my hair colour from an old lady who I thought was squinting at me weirdly because I was wearing the wrong thing or something... she was just trying to figure out what was going on with my hair. โ˜บ๏ธ

Chilling out with PBS at home and gonna make some headway on this library book I've started (very promising so far); tomorrow will be a great big meal prep day. Jambalaya with vegan chorizo, roast fennel, what else...

I need to buy a present for a 1st birthday Iโ€™m going to next week (for a boy). I was thinking some clothes (bigger size he can grow into) and maybe a kidโ€™s book? Any other ideas? Budget is $50 - $75.

The noisiest possibly toy in your budget.

My go to for that age group was bath toys, simple puzzles, those hard cardboard paged books, simple musical instruments (but nothing that's a choking hazard). At that age it's gotta be stuff that's ok to put in their mouth. You're on the money with bigger clothes: suddenly you're dressing them one morning and their clothes don't fit anymore!

Facebook managed to create duplicate listings so I woke up to a bunch more "is this available?" messages ๐Ÿคฃ No. No it is not.

I managed a nice late sleep in this morning. I intend to do very little today. Maybe a nice meandering dog walk, mixing up the new batch of dog food, and I should rescue the terrarium from the car as it is probably wondering where all the light's gone.

It doesnโ€™t feel bone chillingly cold outside tonight for a change.

Pasta bake for dins, had some frozen leftover meat sauce and making the meal more interesting by adding lots of cheese and baking.
