AI-generated music seems to be passing another milestone. Are we on the road to public acceptance of music made by robots?

so many articles about AI music...I assume Spotify must have bribed the news companies to push this and force it to be normalized.

Dodgy title aside, this is a much better article than similar angles from The Verge and The Atlantic.

Nobody else mentioned these dipshits tried to defraud people, by insisting they're real hu-man musicians (who are neither reachable or known by other meatbags), fueling an epistemic crisis by sneering 'no you' at journalists. You can call it an "art hoax," but when you lie for money, that's just fraud. Especially when you dehumanize anyone who caught your ass.

The endgame for this is refrigeration.

Keeping food cold used to involve giant slabs of ice. They were carved from the frozen north, transported under passive insulation, and routinely delivered to your house. Then artificial cooling was invented, and you could just make ice. Right where you live! So obviously those delivered blocks of ice will be much cheaper in distant future.

If some schmuck can churn out an entire discography in the time it takes to listen to it... so can anyone he'd stream it to.
