What a nothingburger.

I appreciate the fixed title. Bows.

Personally, I loved Steven Yeun as Wan. I think he'll sound awesome, especially for a less world-weary, less angsty, more Iroh-like Zuko.

I imagine a lot of fans would prefer to have Dante back since he'd be more than capable of still doing the voice. This sort of decision makes sense with Aang since he was voiced by a young boy at the time but for the characters who were voiced by adults it's an odd choice.

That makes sense, thanks for explaining 👍

I think the claim is just that recasting at all is divisive? I can't say I'm too bothered myself, though Basco's voice is so iconic it may take some getting used to. Recasting Aang is a no-brainer since Eisen isn't an actor anymore and his post-puberty voice is completely different from child Aang's anyway. And Whitman's voice was never quite as iconic as Basco's, and there's probably room to believe it may have changed; plus, they used the opportunity to recast to someone of Indigenous Canadian background, a better cultural fit for the Water Tribe.

The Reddit sub was kinda upset about recasting last I checked. It's ATLA nostalgia talking, I think.
