If a law that impacts everyone has an exemption carved out for the person in charge of the law, either the law or the leader is unjust and is not fit to continue.

alternatively, if the law is good and the exemption for the person or group is not forever (eg because of term limits), maybe it’s just a sacrifice for the future… it might just be the shitty bargain you have to strike

imagine banning stock trading for elected officials in the US… difficult to imagine actually happening because the people making the laws are the ones benefiting from there being no law… but what about if only current reps had an exemption and it were pitched as when they retire, protect the markets from the next generation

unfair and unjust? absolutely… but it’s better than not having a law at all

in US these laws don't apply to people in the club.

laws have no meaning beyond being used to oppress and exploit the plebs. it was always like this but the charade has ran its course.

ACA Affordable Care Act... look at prices since it was passed.
