There's a very simple way to tell if this was a simple error.

Normal person/simple error: "holy shit I had no idea what that meant, wow this is embarrassing I am so sorry."

Neonazi/dog whistle: literally any other response.

5 years ago the nola sub was one of my favorite online communities. It looks like much has changed

Unfortunately it really has, along with all of Reddit.

It's still one of the only places to communicate locally. I wear my downvotes like a badge of honor.

what in the hell is a bone in tenderloin of they are advertising boneless tenderloin...I have never once seen tenderloin with a bone...

Not justifying the ad I've way out another, but you've never seen a porter house steak before?

[–] Fiivemacs@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 months ago

sure have, but that's a totally 'different cut'. it's not considered tenderloin. I've never once seen a bone in tenderloin. tbone or porterhouse, yes. obviously has the bone but that's not what's being sold.

Similar to advertising gluten-free rice. It conveys information they believe to be appealing to the person they want buying the product.
