A normal person in that situation probably wouldn’t just grab the hat. I hope I’d at least ask before just grabbing it.

He showed the Dark Triad that everyone who strives to be CEO develops.

Nah. You were born and or trained to be that way. We all watched you grabbin. The mistake wasn't made on that day. That was just you doing you.

Piotr Szczerek, a Polish chief executive of a paving firm, said he was "convinced" tennis star Kamil Majchrzak had been "passing his hat in my direction".

I think that's the most type-A personality thing I've ever heard

He’s sorry he got caught. Lmao. What kind of pos snatches a hat off a kids head?

[–] wesker 24 points 5 months ago

Well, that's not exactly what happened...

[–] wildcardology@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

The hat was not glued to the kid's head so I took it.

Is he going to claim that his first statement wasn't him?

If you're talking about the statement that said something asking the lines of "I did it, in life you have to be quick or you miss out" that was likely a fake statement to generate quick money from rage bait. A similar thing happened with the CEO who was caught having an affair.

Not excusing the actions of this clown, just trying to say I couldn't find anything showing that was real and it's almost cartoonishly evil so I don't think he actually said it

I’m good with letting everyone believe he said it though. Fuck it, fight dirty

Liar, give away your money to prove it.

His original response:

“The recent incident at the tennis match has caused a disproportionate online uproar. It’s all about the famous hat, of course. Yes, I took it. Yes, I did it quickly. But as I’ve always said, life is first come, first served,” he claimed.

“I understand that some people might not like it, but please, let’s not make a global scandal out of the hat. It’s just a hat. If you were faster, you would have it. Regarding online hate, I remind you that insulting a public figure is subject to legal liability. All offensive comments, slander, and insinuations will be analyzed for the possibility of taking the matter to court.

“In the end, chin up, hats off, less venom, more sportsmanship.”

Of course they turn out to be a CEO

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago

How much did the BBC get paid for that rewrite of history?

[–] harcesz@szmer.info 8 points 5 months ago

Yeah, he confused the cap with his workers wages?

[–] Penguincoder@beehaw.org 6 points 5 months ago

No shit. Still a greedy piece of shit.
