I interviewed for a job in Wisconsin once. At the time I was living in LA and I wanted to get away. The interviewer knew this and asked me if there was anything in LA that I would miss? My kneejerk reaction after driving from the airport to the interview was “Mountains.” He said that he thought the part of Wisconsin they were in was actually a little hilly. Uh, okay dude, sure! (I followed up with my real answer, which was diversity. I stand by that. Maybe it’s what lost me the job; dunno but they didn’t offer it to me. I ended up moving home to SF where I can still have both of those things.)
