I’m not part of this community, but I have fun memories of playing airsoft as a kid! Cool to see this pop up on Lemmy

Oh sweet summer child, by answering you became part of the community :-)
Hi. I'm from Poland. I am running with G36 replica.
Poland 😍 you guys have really great playing grounds (and rules). I hope to visit the “battleground” field in west Poland next year.
Also, kudus to the G36, does it perform well?
It is JG, but I dont remember exact model name. When I bought it it performed alright, but my friend helped me to upgrade some parts, so it will shoot within power limit of generally acepted rules, and to optimize friction to lower the battery usage.
You're welcome to visit. I am attending in Poznań and Gniezno.
European in NH, USA. I have to try airsoft in Germany some time! I've got some nice fields around and I've been playing since mid 2010s
You would be shocked about the local regulations 😔
But yeah, Mahlwinkel is a thing, so you are welcome to hop over the pond and get a rental. It might not compete with “your” Milsim Events though… at least not according to YouTube footage.
Awesome! I've been playing for years, I love the whole spectrum of airsoft. Milsim sounds and looks more intense than it really is, it's just different. In the end all you need is a decent rental gun, face protection and a high cap with .2 gram BBs 😂
Man I'm from the Netherlands so Mahlwinkel seems like a trek. I guess I will have to do a Germany tour...
Had my first kind-off Milsim on the Darkzone playground (north eastern Germany). Especially the revive/respawn rules and the real cap mags made the experience more intense, as you had to be tactical and stick together.
