Funny thing about propaganda. The only factor that mattters is volume. Most people agree with stuff if they see it enough.

As many as possible so you don't even think about them as the wolves to their fellow men that they are, and so you become more accepting of the even more repressive totalitarian police-state you will gradually find yourself in!

Enough so that when suburb kids move to the city and actually experience crime they can get whiplash when they realize cops won’t do shit about anything and are entirely reactionary and/or just make shit up

With everything that's going on these days, I can't even watch cop shows anymore.

It's been this way since I was a kid. The cynic in me says it's intentional to desensitize us to the police state.

  1. Cops arresting criminals.
  2. Detectives investigating crimes and arresting criminals.
  3. Lawyers prosecuting criminals.
  4. Hospitals treating victims and criminals.

That's easily, what? 70% of television? I'm too lazy to look at actual TV schedules, but god, it feels that way. The Law and Order shows ALONE.

(NGL - I loved Homicide)

Almost all dramas currently on network TV are about cops, lawyers, doctors, or firefighters

My guess would be, assuming nothing nefarious, 😉 They're easy to write, cheap to produce, and draw an audience. So from a media perspective, what's not to like?

It’s propaganda. They all have the same theme: cops good, drugs bad….America is #1….Yawn.

Damn. I read this as "How many network cop shows do we think we need?" I figured we might find a sensible answer.

Enough to make you all ok with troops in your streets.

Looks like they found the right number.
