The fact that there is no fast way to split screen anymore and that slideOver is missing completely makes my iPad 11" nearly unusable for productivity tasks.

I waste so much time organising windows that then mostly have to be in split, because touch UI takes space..

It is infuriating and disappointing

Be sure that you really want this new mostly useless window system (on 11”) before updating!

It may be useful on the bog boy, who knows…

„…for many users“

talks about own experience only.

But I get it, Apple should reintroduce window splitting in fullscreen mode. It was stupid to remove it.

I read YouTube comments and there were many complaining

Maybe should have added that

It’s a bit of a workaround but split screen still works fine just like it always has but you have to create a “Shortcut” to do it. I can’t elaborate too much more right now because I’m on my iPhone and when I tap on that shortcut it says it’s not supported on this device. I’ll update from my iPad (with screenshots) when I get home after work.

I learned that you can chuck an app to the right or left to make it go half screen, same as when world and ctrl plus arrow Key is used

But this is a great way of setting up often used combinations! As you can save them as single app on homescreens.

Thank you very much!

add that on top of the illegible UI
