I feel like I can finally make the full switch from Reddit now, thank you dev ❤️

Bought the app within 5 minutes of logging in, thank you for not having a ridiculously expensive ad-free cost 🥺

I didn't even notice the ads, but purchased on principle because it's not a subscription.

I didn't see ads, but maybe my PiHole blocked them?

Regardless, I spent the £3.08 for the advert free version regardless, the developer more than deserves it and more for all their good work.

just bought it myself. wow. I just realized how much I missed boost.

[-] Bongles@lemm.ee 3 points 9 months ago

Me too. I've been using the mobile site until this was ready. It's workable but it's just not the same.

[-] Rotkehle@feddit.de 1 points 9 months ago

I was using jerboa. but it has nothing on boost.

[-] syl@programming.dev 12 points 9 months ago

Guys, now use boost to create content on lemmy! That is what is missing in lemmy. Comment and create posts!

Wow, excellent initial release, looks and works great.

Paid the ad free doo-hickey without hesitation. Don't recall seeing any ads beforehand.

[-] hogart@feddit.nu 11 points 9 months ago

Yeah. Actually good pricing. Imagine that huh?

Everyone who paid 120 dollars for an app that shouldn't be named has to feel real good right now.

Sync. It has a monthly sub or lifetime for $100. But just the ads removed is still $20. Quite high no matter how you slice it.

[-] xenspidey@lemmy.zip 0 points 9 months ago

Well worth it in my opinion, superior app and was released fairly quickly.

[-] UnrealRealityX@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

Seriously, that pricing is bonkers. I mean it's a great app, but not at the level of productivity software!

I was on boost and switched to that ine for a while, but now I'm back on boost again. Ah, choices.

That is for Ultra, just removing ads costs less.

I'm on Ultra and it's not $120 bucks. It's a yearly subscription. I have tried all the clients from the reddit days and Sync is the best in my opinion. Boost is probably my number 2

[-] BallsInTheShredder@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

Eww, which app was that? $120?

[-] D4gma@feddit.it 5 points 9 months ago

Still using sync after trying... Many (too many) apps. I don't see any ads, only the empty placeholders and they are very few. I like Sync for its fluidity and nice ui+gestures, and probably will stick to it even after those ads will become real - as I said, there's no ad right now. Real question (no flames pls): What does Boost offers instead?

[-] Armand1@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

I don't see it as available here in the UK yet. Is it finally here?

I'm in the UK and was able to request access after reading this post https://lemmy.world/post/5478381

[-] FabulousAardvark@lemmy.ml 1 points 9 months ago

Same for me, just takes a little while before you can actually install the app (couple of hours for me)

Same here! Been trying so many apps since switching and haven't found anything as good as Boost, and I just got it for Lemmy 5 minutes ago. Just quoting you so easily felt great.

Didn't realize how much I'd been missing boost until I got it back.

Thanks Ruben. Also, how do I buy this?
