Cloudflare is the big block second to the bottom. It’s in no way a tiny part of the infra of the internet.

Can someone explain why doesn't Cloudflare has a mechanism if it's down, to just route requests to the clients without any of the fancy caching shit?

Or it has, and clients are just not ready for the onslaught of raw traffic and go down too?
