It says that I have several notifications, which I think is also an error because when I go to my comments there aren't any new replies, has anyone got something like this?

Could be due to the recent update or is it something weirder?

Might be several downstream effects from Cloudflare shitting every available clean bed earlier today?

Unlikely in this case. Fedia.io is not hosted behind Cloudflare, some other Fediverse instances might be. But that should not result in 500 errors.

What did change is that Jerry is seeing a lot of ActivityPub traffic and at the same time Jerry is testing out our latest release candidate (Mbin software) https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin/releases/tag/v1.9.0-rc1

Jerry is testing the latest 1.9.0-rc1 (release candidate). Your issue should be fixed by (hopefully): https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin/pull/1848

Please feel free to report more issues or problems if you still have them while Jerry and the Mbin community are testing the new release.

Ps. We also have this poll ongoing for example regarding whether or not we want to keep this "combined view" the default view (the threads view used to be the default view in the past): https://fedia.io/m/fedia/t/3026452

Have been seeing occasional 500 errors over the last few days, but they haven't been bad enough to make things unusable

please let us know on which pages you observe the 500 errors.

It was during general feed browsing, opening individual threads to view them. Can provide more detailed info if any more come up.
