Without weighing down the post with my opinion on Iceflake games..

I just cant see this being anything but a death call for Skylines II, and possibly the franchise.

This looks a lot like what happened with Surviving Mars and Haemimont, and it doesn't bode well for CS2.

Iceflake are the surviving mars/surviving aftermath devs.

You know, the ones that are currently super loved with the scummy shit they've done with regards to the Surviving Mars "Remaster"

Nah, Abstraction was in charge of the crappy dlc. And the current mess of a remaster is back into Haemimont's hands. But Iceflake did work on the surviving mars spinoffs, which I haven't played

Cs2 is cooked. Which sucks because i feel it was actually a really good base. They just needed to give the community more control to fix their ugly assets and CO could focus on fixing the systems and building out new mechanics.

Its really sad that CS2 was such a boondoggle.

Should have stayed in development for at least another year.. and focused on addressing the abysmal performance issues and teh core system/simulation issues.

all they had to do was release CS1 with updated graphics and integrate some mod ideas into the core system and it would have been bonkers good.
