It seems to me that spotify stopped caring about reputation years ago. The lazy consumer will keep paying no matter what.

Yes, when they paid Joe Rogan hundreds of millions for his podcast.

The shit artist pay before that.

But this just feels like there’s so little to gain it’s stupid.

I haven't used Spotify for years for various reasons. Been buying music (mostly from Bandcamp) and have no regrets.

Bandcamp Friday is coming up this week, too. That's where Bandcamp waives their cut of the sales.

I've found that not a lot of artists I listen to have their music on Bandcamp. I usually look their first, but buying from Qobuz has been really good for me. And of course beatport for the odd remix here and there.
