Any experienced user will say no shit Sherlock. I still find it useful.

More technical info here - https://wiki.robotz.com/index.php?title=Adjust_the_Display_With_xgamma_and_xrandr

xrandr <monitor> --gamma 1:1:1

xrandr --output eDP-1 --gamma 1:1:1

Standard RGB = 1 : 1 : 1

Example for lower gamma = .9 : .9 : .9

xrandr --output eDP-1 --gamma .9:.9:.9

๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ Nothing fancy. I just like darker black on my cheap monitor.

To keep the chance after the reboot, just go to Startup Applications > + > personalized command and add the command there.

I tried to change my gamma in Ubuntu but couldn't find the setting. I just use the soft night light instead but your suggestion would've made more sense.
