Because the guy looks so obviously mentally unstable. There is no way he could have done all the things the FBI’s ChatGPT wrote up that he did.
One shot long distance. Clean get away. No arrest for 2 days and no arrest at all if it wasn’t for someone calling the cops. There’s so much more, but even on the surface the official account looks completely implausible.
Have you considered that the police are incompetent? That makes only the shot especially impressive, but it’s not wild to imagine someone who’s been shooting since childhood doing pretty well.
