I had a thought about this AI crap in everything (don't get me wrong current AI does have its positive uses) referring to this post and a few others. What if "they" are shoving AI into these devices not just for surveillance (the Intelligence part of current AI) but to also make use of our "unused computer cycles" see BOINC, I used to donate my unused cycles to this Berkeley initiative over a decade ago. What if due to the expense of the centres, lack of enough centres, and the lack of hardware for said centres they are using our devices as a distributed network?

So...

You think because theyve spent all this money and resources on infrastructure...

That they want more infrastructure to the point they'd hijack people's phones and computers to processore data?

How does that solve the problem of them having too much infrastructure and nothing to calculate?

It would literally be the opposite...

Access to infrastructure you don't pay for or maintain is pure profit

That they want more infrastructure to the point they’d hijack people’s phones and computers to processore data?

Sure there are a lot of data centres, but they want/need more and our devices cost them nothing to compute on

How does that solve the problem of them having too much infrastructure and nothing to calculate?

There are data centres to be with nothing inside, unable to process anything. Can't remember exactly but I did read of a few centres in the US that can't start up

Kind of hard to understand what you're saying...

It's possible you mean something different, but what you typed is illogical.

They don't have anything to process, so they're going to hijack millons of cellphones and laptops for more processing power?

What are you even trying to say here?
