Maybe because stop building shit cars with huge overprice? Nobody asked them to put so many electronics in car, I don't wanna computer on wheels ,I need car with good engine ,repairable and reliable and not spying on me either and work autonomous not being tracked at all ,offline car. I am not talking about visual design even... Also where are all sedans gone? SUV sucks

And you need subscriptions for basic features now. They havenโt suffered enough yet to listen to customers again.
You're in minority. Most people are buying shit Chinese cars instead. Those have even more electronics and silly features but quality is dubious and it's all full of bugs. I drove couple of rental cars like this. They have things like speed sign recognition that fails all the time and sounds a warning sound constantly while you drive below speed limit, turn signals that don't make any sound, automatic lights that sometimes work, some shit screen sharing apps instead of android auto. But they are cheap (you can buy the fully equipped version with led light and scented AC for the price of mid range European car) so people buy them. If European companies start making basic, repairable cars without tracking they will sell a car to you and me and that's it. Most people will still buy Chinese shit. Oh, and while EU car makers push to soften the 2035 gas engine ban China is flooding the market with cheap electric cars. German car makers are desperately trying to maintain their advantage in a dying market. I'm sure this will turn out great for them...
And it's because they're the cheapest. Not because of the tech.

These fuckers built cars for the yanks, because margins were supposedly higher, while leaving most of the EU population out to dry. Get fucked and rethink your product lines.
Time for the shareholders to step up and carry "the risk", as they usually claim when asked why they pocket most of the company's profits.
Maybe if they work overtime, their boss can afford to buy them the other side of that lift.

Maybe stop making shitty electric cars that canโt even be called cars and look like they came from a really bad cyberpunk movie and make real cars again but hydrogen powered instead of petrol powered and bring back the manual transmission, I want to be in control of my car not my car to decide whatโs best.
