8% feels like a pretty low estimate that's probably based on the high end where the margins are high enough they can absorb some of the cost.

I'm already expecting the cheapest options are probably going to roughly double in price

I for one am willing to suffer the higher price of RAM, but also water and electricity, because AI has become such an invaluable tool in my life!

DDR4 almost doubled in price locally supposedly due to AI shortages, phone prices are going to rise at least 50%, greed will take care of it.
