It doesn’t have to be a child-eating commie red place (/s), just somewhere where I can express my dissatisfaction with Europe/Nato/west without being banned. And no, unfortunately kolektiva is not one of them.

Kolektiva knuckled under to a fed search warrant, I wouldn't touch that instance with a 10-foot pole. https://www.eff.org/sh/deeplinks/2023/07/fbi-seizure-mastodon-server-wakeup-call-fediverse-users-and-hosts-protect-their

I see a buncha commies out there, there's a bunch on normal.style and jorts.horse. Seem to be a preponderance on the shitposting-oriented instances.

kolektiva did not mean to give it up. it was poor security practice: keeping old drives unencrypted, and getting busted on other charges

unrelated charges

Let me guess anime avatars.

Jorts.horse is a "politics must be under content warning" instance that is run by radlibs πŸ˜’

Uff… now it makes more sense jesus christ

I don't use Mastodon but i think toots.matapacos.dog is the unofficial hexbear mastodon instance?

I've seen a communist or two on wetdry.world which have their own cool fork of mastodon, you might want to look into that too.

Also it's surprising and disappointing to hear that about kolektiva.social :/ do you have an example?

In their code of conduct, they state that you shouldn't really post "Propaganda from the USSR, CCP, or DPRK." They're an anarchist instance first and foremost, but are generally hostile to Marxists, from what I can gather. I don't use Mastodon though so I haven't interacted with them.

Ah i see the rule, i thought they meant the "where I can express my dissatisfaction with Europe/Nato/west without being banned" part didn't fall under an anarchist instance, which would be incredibly concerning by their standards πŸ˜…

Ah, fair, makes sense.

toots.matapacos.dog looks nice. Regarding kolektiva, I do have an example but I wanna be a nice guy and just point you at their about page. It’s Christmas soon.

Understandable, merry christmas to you :)
