Getting bored of perfect following the racing line bots with no behaviour. I guess i could get into multiplayer but would feel better if i had something more substantial to practice against that behaves a bit more unpredictable

Unfortunately most racing game AI sucks. I don't know if you're looking for more simulator or arcade, but Automobilista 2 has pretty good AI, although it's more on the simulator side. AMS2 is slept on in general, but it's a decent package with the DLC, especially if you're a racing nerd.

Seconded.

There’s one track called Ibarra that’s so much fun.

I’ve heard its good. Didnt it adopt the nfs shift/project cars engine or something? May give it a go only problem is my wheel is set up for my ps5 and tv not my pc… mmm time to spend all my money on a second wheel. I did manage to stream beamng to my tv and use some software to forward my usb to my desktop but its so much effort to do every time

Yeah, it uses the Madness engine developed for Project Cars 2. AMS2 is the best thing to even tangentially come out of the Nazi bar Project Cars developers.

I need some context on this, i avoided project cars for years but mostly cos it ran like ass on AMD systems cos they used nvidia physx only on pc for the game physics for... reasons. Need to know the story, anything from shift onwards intrigues me

Basically, for several years the company employed a fascist who's long been known in the sim racing community as a piece of shit. https://powerhouse-takahashi.ghost.io/project-motor-racing-has-a-nazi-problem/ (CW: racism, trans- and homophobia)

lol, it's so appropriate that this was the final line in the article.

And besides, with the niche Project Motor Racing is seeking to fill, you can just get Automobilista 2 and not have to worry about crossing that line in the first place.

Good thing project motor racing is a steaming pile of shit eh? Not reviewing well at all

I dunno how anyone expected it to be good after Ian Bell's history of overpromising, delivering buggy messes, hiring Nazis etc. There seems to be at least a small group of people with infinite patience towards him because he was head of a company that made some sims people liked 20 years ago.

I remember a guy at school like 12 years ago tryna convince me to get project cars and how its the best game ever made. I was too busy enjoying gt5 and its associated loading screens to care. I wonder if it was for that reason

burnout i guess? forza used to but they washed the drivatars because uncultured losers didn't like having to drive defensively, and microsoft games division is BDS

The AI in Motorstorm is meant to learn your play style and respond to you. They're meant to work pretty well through the RPC3 emulator now
