I'm in my mid 30s and moved to a new place about a year ago where I had no existing connections. As I'm developing a new friend group I realize how difficult it is to actually make friends with Mormon guys my age. They are all either incredibly stressed out by their jobs, callings, etc that they have no time for leisure or they have left the church entirely. I myself have my reasons for continued attendance but I've come to the realization that I just no longer try to make friends in the Mormon setting. Anyone with similar experience?

Yup. And my casual observation is that most Mormon men are in that boat. There's not a lot of close friendships going on.

Sadly, yes. Mormon friendships are usually very shallow.

I've not been able to maintain any friendships with members. I have a hard enough time with member family.
