I did something similar with n8n getting RSS feed through RSS Bridge then store it into a database every 30 min and another flow to summarize all these news by local AI using ollama then post it to local private wordpress instance.

It works.

That sounds awesome

Please share how you did it with n8n

Well, I made a custom template to fit my needs however, you can use available templates like this: https://n8n.io/workflows/4570-email-news-briefing-by-keyword-from-bright-data-with-ai-summary/

Just plug you credentials and you’re set. And for news outlets that doesn’t offer RSS, you can use RSS Bridge https://rss-bridge.org/bridge01/

If you’re into selfhosting you can host all of these services yourself.

Any idea of how I could use RSS feeds but priotitize the sources? So if overnight the same piece of news has been reported by several sources, the reader would leave my favourite but skip the others?

I really need to find a way to scale back from my 1k daily headings but am loathe lose sources.

Inoreader does most or all of this for ~$7.50/mo. It’s what I use and what Molly White uses.
