California Gov. Gavin Newsom's office said the governor was denied entry into a venue at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Jan. 21, after being invited to speak at the event due to "pressure" from the Trump administration.

Newsom had been scheduled to speak with Fortune at the USA House, Davos, a privately organized event, at the World Economic Forum, which has been recognized by the U.S. government as the nation's headquarters in Davos.

Ah the wonders of lemmy. A group of people who wonder how Trump won and then insist any replacement must be perfect.

Perfection? The only thing that stopped him from joining the right is that Trump holds grudges. That fascist reject hung out with Charlie Kirk and threw trans people under the bus despite boasting about how much he supports the queers for decades. He tried so hard to join them because he has always been a slimy pickme neofeudalist. If he gets elected, there will not be the reforms needed to prevent fascism from rising again. Hell, he might even usher it in.

Also, how do you think Harris lost to Trump? Do you think the Democrats bear no responsibility for it? That there were no long term trends that led to populism; tends helped along in equal part by both parties? Is it only that the nonvoters ruined perfection? Are there really no tactical missteps that you can remember from 2024? Really!?

Aw poor Gavin newsome, hell have to displace some of californias most vulnerable people via sweeps to feel better. If only we gave him more power we could have avoided this

Probably the same company that owns the USA network. Watching shows on that network will make you want throw your tv out the window. 6 minute ads per 4.5 minutes of show time. Their ads just keep gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooing. And yes. That's how absurd they are.

Not even close to being a vaguely related company.
