What is activist about it?

I am only curious, because I truly do not see it, as activism, more fun than anything. I am a pretty serious person, who takes why I am risking being a activist extremely serious; not that those in these things are not, just do not know.

I suspect it's more for the gaze of the uninvolved observer. When the authoritrians are casting all protests as violent illegal riots filled with looting and then the public just sees pictures of police in riot gear arresting an inflatable frog there's at least the pretense that the government is lying.
