I don't imagine one person protecting themselves from ICE with a gun, but I'd kinda like to see some local armed militias prevent ICE from terrorizing people.

With all this talk about Ai not being profitable why aren't we using it in video games? I dont mean replacing developers I mean in NPCs in the game. I make them more realistic. in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

I'd figure that small models could be run locally and even incorporated into the local game code without needing to use a big company's API, if they wanted to.

Today, January 7, ICE officers shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, a legal observer, during a raid in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Video footage directly contradicts ICE’s claim that the shooting was carried out in self-defense. The footage also shows ICE agents denying Renee Nicole Good access to medical care. An off-duty doctor repeatedly attempted to render aid and was blocked by ICE agents, who at one point drew their weapons on him.

In response, demonstrations are taking place across North Carolina, organized by PSL. We demand the immediate removal of ICE from our neighborhoods and an end to the kidnapping, terrorization, and killing of our neighbors under the guise of immigration enforcement.

Below are details for actions being held in Asheville, Charlotte, Durham, and Fayetteville. This is an evolving list, and additional demonstrations may be added as the evening progresses.
